Charles S. (Terry) Arthur, Partner

Terry Arthur, Partner, Arthur-Green, LLPBorn in Independence, Kansas, 1944, Terry is a native of Manhattan, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.S. in 1967. Terry was awarded his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of law in 1969, and an LL.M. in taxation from New York University in 1970. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1970.

Terry joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 1970. With over 30 years experience in areas such as estate planning and taxation law, Terry has coauthored two books on estate planning, and has taught business and tax related courses at Kansas State University. In addition to his practice in the estate planning and tax areas, Terry is general counsel for Kansas Farm Bureau. Since 1982, he has been named in the publication Best Lawyers in America, and in 2006, he was named a “Super Lawyer” by the Kansas City Business Journal in the area of trusts and estates. Terry is active in a variety of civic, educational and charitable groups, and has served on the Board of Directors of several community organizations and is an active member of his church. He currently serves on the board of directors of The Master Teacher, Inc., Kansas State Bank, Big Lakes Developmental Center, Inc., and Leiszler Oil Co., Inc.

John D. Conderman, Partner

John Conderman, Partner, Arthur-Green, LLPBorn in Duncan Oklahoma, 1944, John grew up in Iola, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.A. in 1966. He was awarded a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1969, and an L.L.M from New York University in 1973. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1969.

John joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 1973. He is an experienced civil litigator, representing corporations and individuals in cases such as personal injury defense, workers compensation law, real estate litigation, and creditor’s rights. He also has extensive experience with the development of condominium projects and commercial real estate development. John is a trained mediator, and is frequently requested by other attorneys to assist them with alternative dispute resolution. In 2005 and 2006, he was named a “Super Lawyer” by the Kansas City Business Journal in the area of personal injury defense. John has served as a board member of a variety of community organizations, including past board positions with the Manhattan Country Club; the Manhattan Rotary Club; the United Way of Riley County; the McCain Auditorium Board; the St. Mary Hospital Board (now Mercy Community Hospital); the Board of Governors, Univ. of Kansas Law Society; and the Mercy Community Hospital Foundation. He currently serves on the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys.

Derrick L. Roberson, Partner

Derrick Roberson, Partner, Arthur-Green, LLPBorn in Belleville, Kansas, 1964, Derrick is from Beloit, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University and the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.A. in 1987, and was awarded a J.D. in 1991 from the University of Kansas School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1991.

Derrick joined Arthur-Green in 1991. He has significant experience with commercial finance and banking, working with financial institutions to establish complex credits, participations, and syndications, as well as collections and foreclosure. He is also experienced as a civil litigator in personal injury defense, property law, and construction cases. Derrick advises many business clients on employment law compliance, risk management counseling, and structuring transactions. He has been managing partner of the firm since 1997. Derrick has been actively involved in several professional, community and civic organizations, and is currently serving on the KBA Ethics Grievance Committee; 21st District Judicial Nominating Commission; Riley County Law Library, Trustee; FUMC Foundation, Trustee; Kansas Wildlife Federation, Director; and Kansas State Rifle Association Foundation, Director.

Shon C. Robben, Partner

Shon Robben, Partner, Arthur-Green, LLPBorn in Hays, Kansas, 1969, Shon is a native of Victoria, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.S. in 1991, and was awarded a J.D. in 1994 from the University of Kansas School of Law. Shon was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1994.

Shon joined Arthur-Green in 1994. His practice concentrates on estate planning, tax, real estate, and corporate law. He counsels clients on all aspects of personal estate and tax planning, including tax deferred exchanges. His business practice includes tax planning, corporate governance and succession planning, and non-qualified deferred compensation issues. Shon is a frequent speaker on estate planning, real estate and taxation issues. He is actively involved in many community charitable and civic organizations, and currently serves as a director on the Kansas State Newman Foundation, Big Lakes Foundation, Inc., Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the Memorial Hospital Association.

William J. (Bill) Bahr, Partner

Bill Bahr, Partner, Arthur-Green, LLPBorn in Wichita, Kansas, 1972, Bill is from Great Bend, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned a B.A. in 1994. He attended law school at the University of Kansas, was managing editor of the Kansas Law Review, and was awarded his J.D. in 1997. Bill was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1997.

Bill joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 1997.  He is experienced in general civil litigation, including personal injury defense, business litigation and construction disputes. Bill also represents several financial institutions with transactions, collections and foreclosures. Bill also advises business clients in a variety of areas including transactions and employment. He is active in the Manhattan community, and currently serves on the board of directors of the Flint Hills Breadbasket board, Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, Riley County Ethics Committee, and Delta Upsilon Fraternity alumni board.
