Derrick L. Roberson, Partner
Born in Belleville, Kansas, 1964, Derrick is from Beloit, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University and the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.A. in 1987, and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1991 from the University of Kansas School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1991.
Derrick joined Arthur-Green in 1991. He has more than twenty years of experience advising business clients on employment law compliance, risk management, and negotiating and structuring transactions. Derrick is experienced as a civil litigator in personal injury defense, property law, and construction cases, and has represented financial institutions with loan structuring, collections and foreclosure. He has been managing partner of the firm since 1997. Derrick has been actively involved in numerous professional, community and civic organizations and is currently serving on the 21st District Judicial Nominating Commission; Review Committee of the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys; Riley County Law Library, Trustee; the Kansas State Rifle Association Foundation, Director; and the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, Trustee.
Shon C. Robben, Partner
Born in Hays, Kansas, 1969, Shon is a native of Victoria, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.S. in 1991, and was awarded a J.D. in 1994 from the University of Kansas School of Law. Shon was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1994.
Shon joined Arthur-Green in 1994. He is experienced in estate planning, tax, real estate, and corporate law, and is a frequent speaker on those topics. He counsels clients on all aspects of personal estate and tax planning. His business practice includes tax planning, corporate governance and succession planning, and non-qualified deferred compensation issues. Shon is a frequent speaker on estate planning, real estate and taxation issues. He is actively involved in many community charitable and civic organizations, and currently serves as a director on the Kansas State Newman Foundation, Big Lakes Foundation, Inc., Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Memorial Hospital Association, and Mercy Community Health Foundation.
William J. (Bill) Bahr, Partner
Born in Wichita, Kansas, 1972, Bill is from Great Bend, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned a B.A. in 1994. He attended law school at the University of Kansas, was managing editor of the Kansas Law Review, and was awarded his J.D. in 1997. Bill was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1997.
Bill joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 1997. He is experienced in general civil litigation, including personal injury defense, business litigation, and construction disputes. Bill also represents several financial institutions with transactions, collections and foreclosures. Bill also advises business clients in a variety of areas including transactions, real estate matters, and employment. He is active in the Manhattan community, and currently serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan, and is a member of the Riley County Legal Ethics Committee, and the 21st District Judicial Nominating Commission, and the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, Trustee.
Tyler A. Darnell, Partner
Born in Hays, Kansas, 1980, Tyler is a native of Damar, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University, where he earned a B.S. in 2003, and was awarded a J.D. in 2007 from Washburn University School of Law. Tyler was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 2008.
Tyler joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 2008. He is experienced in estate planning, probate and trust administration, real estate and business transactions, tax deferred exchanges, business entity formation and governance. Tyler is also active in the Manhattan community and currently serves on the board of directors of Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, Pawnee Mental Health Services Endowment Foundation, Inc., and is a member of the Manhattan Konza Rotary Club.
Andrew D. Ellis, Associate
Born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, 1986, Andrew is from Overland Park, Kansas. He earned a B.S. from Kansas State University in 2008 and was awarded a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2011. Andrew was admitted to the Kansas bar in 2011.
Andrew joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 2011. He is active in a number of community organizations, including the Friends of Sunset Zoo, Director; Leadership Manhattan, Director; Konza District Committee of the Boy Scouts of America, Member; and the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation Young Trustees, Member.
Andrew currently has a general practice.
Christopher R. Staley, Associate
Originally from Colby, Kansas, Christopher earned his B.A. in History from UMKC in 2012, and his juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 2015, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Washburn Law Journal. He was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 2015.
Christopher joined Arthur-Green in 2015.
He currently has a general practice.
Jennifer K. Frank, Associate
Born in Watertown, New York, 1971, Jennifer is originally from Sackets Harbor, New York. She attended Le Moyne College (Syracuse, NY) where she earned her B.A. in 1993. Jennifer was awarded a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University (Albany, NY) in 1996, and an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island in 2000. Jennifer was admitted to the Kansas bar in 2006, and is also licensed in New York, District of Columbia, Virginia (Inactive), and Tennessee (Inactive).
Jennifer joined Arthur-Green in 2015. She has assisted clients with matters including formation and dissolution of business entities, real property tax assessment, employment law, and general litigation. Jennifer has been actively involved in professional and community organizations throughout her career and is currently serving as Military Spouse JD Network, Director, and Honorary President of the Historical and Archeological Society of Fort Riley.
Charles S. (Terry) Arthur, Retired
Terry joined Arthur-Green law firm in 1970 and after 42 years of practice, retired in 2012. He continues to be active in a variety of civic, educational, and charitable groups and has served on the board of directors of several community organizations and in his church.
John D. Conderman, Retired
John joined Arthur-Green law firm in 1973, following service in the JAG Corps as an Associate Professor of Law at West Point. John retired in 2014.
